THE STORY BEGINS WITH
THE GREAT BRITISH
SPRAYCATION
In the summer of 2021, Banksy bought an old camper van, loaded up on spray cans and stencils, and took a trip to a run-down seaside town, in a forgotten corner of East England, called Great Yarmouth.
Over several days, he drops 10 pieces across the town and the local area. A gift to a community.
He verified he was the artist by releasing a film, ‘The Great British Spraycation’.
All of the art Banksy gifted to the town has been either removed and sold at auction, vandalised, or is sprayed onto peeling & mouldy walls, destined to be erased by time and the damp seaside air.
EXCEPT THIS ONE. AND WE HAVE PLANS FOR IT.
